Was playing on mame last night and came across two of my favourite games "I'll buy that for a dollar! :) ". Smash TV and Total Carnage.

Was just thinking how awesome it would be if these were updated with an online option, playing with 24 people on a giant map with literally thousands of random baddies spawning would just be great fun.

If no one know what I'm going on about get hold of it! (The SNES version is pretty good). Total carnage is one of the most difficult but fun games you are ever likely to comes across. It ook me about 15 credits (so about £7.50 in arcade money) just to get past level 1.

Ahh those were the days......

Maybe I should petition Midway for a steam version...:D

Smash TV rocked ass. I wasn't such a big fan of Total Carnage but it was still pretty decent.

Managed to complete CrashTV quite a few times and get into the Pleasure Dome (iirc?) but when I tried to replay it recently I struggled to get past the first few sections in the second area. Lol :/

I don't remember Total Carnage but Smash TV was epic. I remember downloading it again a few years back and sucking so badly at it ><

Total Carnage was brilliant!

General Akhboob rocked :D Although he always escaped me at the end of the game, I never actually managed to capture him :(

Now there's a game with some severe frustration and replay value built in!

Have it on the C64 (the original) and it was great fun. I miss shooters, etc. nowadays it's all about the FPS it would be nice to see something different out.
