Smell from wrist rest

Hi,

I just got a new belkin wrist rest for my keyboard.. and it has this awful chemical smell! Can't be safe surely? I've googled and found others found this as well. Anything I can do apart from throw the thing out of the window?

the smell will probably disappear after a while, a lot of things get the same sort of smell when new in my experience

hmm you sure? It does smell really bad.. it just makes me feel sick *puke up*. I'd swap that smell for sweat any time!

For now I've left it lying somewhere till the smell just goes..

I know what you mean. I get some free trade magazine each month and the chemical smell it has when it comes out of the bag is disgusting. Seems to fade after lying about for a few days.

Dude... are you kidding?! I had to spray some of my Lynx on it! Just thinking about it makes me feel queasy lol
