Smells

Drivers are pieces of written software so will not leave a bad smell when corrupt :)

Hardware on the other hand will. Have you got a fan burning up or a PSU that is on its way out. Only way to find out is pop your head in the PC case and have a sniff around (not with it switched on though).

Double check all electrical connections, tried doing a search for your psu, sound a bit cheap

PS - Your sig is to big max 4 lines.

Defo get rid of that PSU! They are a danger to your sanity and pc parts. They go bang quite often. I had two fail in three months. Lucky my PC was not killed in the process. I would look for any scorch marks on you mobo and parts just incase though.

lol yea, get rid of the psu. heard nothing but bad news with them

I have to agree with the others, ditch that PSU mate!!!

The PSU is the most important component inside your case, as it is supplying the power to all your other hardware... it's never a good idea to try and save money by purchasing a cheapo PSU as it could end up damaging your other expensive hardware...

You have a nice rig there man, get yourself a decent PSU to give your hardware a nice clean power source...

I've never even heard of that brand of PSU!!!

I did that earlier and it come out as 445w.

I'm running i7 @ 4ghz with ATI 4870X2 and 2 hd's which pulls 520w ~ with prime and 3d win mark running.

Edit:

Added a few extra items on, to give a estimate.

4 for my AMD Phenom II 955 3.2GHz SKT AM3 Processor, is a 4 core CPU.

The question is asking how many physical cpu's, your running 1 physical cpu with 4 cores.

The wattage you got would have been for 4 physical cpu's meaning your running 16 cores :D
