I was in the plumbing shop today and I spotted some smoke matches. So I thought, perhaps I'll use these for overclocking. The idea is to light one in front of front fan and see how well the air(smoke) circulates and exits case, so I can visually test the airflow.

Think it will be usefull? or perhaps do smoke damage?

You really need to replace side door with perspex/glass, otheriwise you won't see what's happening. If you take off the side door it'll behave differnently when closed.

Its probably 50x more smoke than a cigarette puff and its going to get sucked directly into case, but for the sake of science and mankind, I will volunteer to test it.

i just use a ciggy paper to test fans and my 2 intakes are like industrial turbines and the back outtake fan is like a leafblower, only good thing about a thermaltake case is the filters on the intake fans, i have very little dust inside the case after 2 years of use:)

i have some smoke bombs which are circular with a fuse and about 4cm circular wide, and they smoke like hell :D

i once shoved one inside my dads car exhaust in his brand new volvo the day he got it rofl!

might give that idea a go with it tho its a good idea you have there

i tried using cig papers but theres too little smoke to see it being whisked though the system, even with 20 wapped up (plus causes a lot of ash to be sucked in).

i guess too much smoke wont show anything at all

i have 10 fans in my pc in total, with perspecs case... when i get them delivered on tuesday, ill give it a go and video it.

'reckon it would be possible to setup some sort of tubing system to continually keep smoke blowing through? Would look ace (Y)

The exhaust fan could take out the smoke & warm air, which could then go back into the case at the top, behind the intake fan. ;)

Idk. I'm sure it would be possible somehow..you'd just need to cool the air being taken out.
