My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and I've been thinking about buying her a smoothie maker. She's a big fan of smoothies and eating healthily.

Sadly, I don't know the first thing about them. I've read a few online reviews and the reviews of all the models I've seen have been very mixed. I've also seen juicers advertised and I have no idea what the difference is.

Does anyone have a smoothie maker? Any advice on decent brands and whether it's worth buying one? Any general tips?

It's a present, so I don't mind spending quite a bit of money on a fancy one.

Cheers OCuk. :D

Only advice I can give is that is that cheap/rubbish ones really are terrible!

Don't spend £10-20 expecting it to work very well at all :p

Make sure you get one with a nice glass jug and make sure its dishwasher safe. they are a bloody nightmare to clean in my experience lol
