All of the SMP units listed on the project page have only 3 or 4 days left untill final deadline! Is this normal ? (many have said they have short deadlines about 40h, but I thought this was unit specific, not all WU in that group)

Yes it is normal. They want to get the results for the beta clients back as quickly as possible so that they can guage the success of the clients and cores.

Yes - all SMP WUs have very short deadlines of only a few days.

It is a high performance client for getting results back as soon as possible.
