SMP Help

Following a hard drive dying, I've just been through the process of reinstalling everything. However, I'm having trouble getting the Windows SMP Folding client up and running.

I've got the latest version and I've been through the 'install.bat' part which seems to have worked...but whenever I run the executable I get nothing - it just returns to the prompt if run from a command shell or quits immediately if run from a shortcut. No error message or anything.

I expect it's somethign really obvious I've forgotten as I've never had this trouble before...any help? My CPU is sitting idle...

I've got the latest SMP client, downloaded today.
Running Vista 64 bit
Hardware entirely unchanged apart from the new boot HDD

is your's the 6.24 version

You need to run the install .Bat with Admin rights as well as the Client.
and remember to use your pc login and password

I had the same problem when i first used the SMP about 2 months ago got really wound up with it then had a little read realised what i did wrong felt like a right lemon.

Yes, me too. Doubly so as I've been doing this for long enough that I really should have remembered...ah well, all folding again now.
