SMP Q6600 not working, single @ 25%

Set up a new computer today, thought I'd see what the folding it like but I cannot get it to work. I have it working on my i7 machine and following the same setup it does not work in the Q6600 machine.

It seems to download singlecore workunits (FahCore_78) and runs at 25% but not the SMP units (FahCore_a3.exe) for example.

used the -verbosity 9, -smp tag, and tried the -smp 4 tag but it does not work still. Please help

Using the SMP client 6.30.

Uac is off (W7) and tried to reinstall the client again (still downloaded the FahCore_78)

Are you using -advmethods and a passkey, I think both are required for A3s

No advmethods (but without it, smp works on my i7 machine) and have got a passkey.

Will try adv tomorrow cause I cba with it right now, lol. Thx for the suggestion.

Copy and paste your i7 folding folders into your new machine?

Just delete queue.dat and the work folder else you might end up folding the same unit twice.

*puts on gaming i7 machine to fold on x2gtx 295, [email protected], and q6600 work machine to fold w/ x2 460*

edit: miniyazz, that worked, thanks -- don't understand why it just didn't download it straight-up?

editedit: hmmz, mabye not lol, look at the tempts, leaving 2 on is fine though...(77/85 - I think...)

I should have my new i7 build up and running in a few days, lets stomp some slackerz!!!

I normally let it run when I am usually on the pc, not this weekend though lol

Yeah its a dedicated box but its probably not going to be fully up and running until the end of the week as i've got a busy one, so i think theres going to be plenty of jostling for positions between the four of us.

lol nice, sorry my late reply - also have been busy, I take it you got it up and running? Cause I noticed that you have passed me again - was in front of you in the first half of the week

The machine is built but not crunching yet, should begin this weekend. Think i've been lucky with the wu's i've been getting as my ppd has improved a bit.
