I've installed this following the Sirius guide, and successfully managed to drop my output from 3k ppd under WinSMP to around 750ppd under Linux with nothing else running
What might I have done wrong?
I set the available memory to be 500Mb as suggested (I have 4Gb available) and allowed the install to configure swap etc. VM Drive space is 3Gb.
Ubuntu was installed and then I installed all updates and set the SMP running. Linux itself is extremely jittery and not as smooth as I would have expected.
Should I have allocated more memory & drive space?
I have a Q6600 running at 3400.
