SMS backup app for Blackberry OS6

So i am looking for an app that will save all my sms's in the SD card (not sim card) and be fully compatible with OS6 .448 ver. The handset is the 9700, i have been looking at various sites but something tells me Spawn has the best advice of all

Sim cards only hold like 10 messages don't they? They're saved onto the internal memory on BB's anyway.. you can back them up through the BB Desktop software.

i know but there is a way or there must be one to save them in SD card and recall them whenever i like

SMSbackup+ does that in android land, maybe there is something similar for BB

I believe the SMS get saved on the device memory not SIM, I'm not aware how you can export them to the memory card though.

You can use Blackberry desktop manager to back up the contents of your Blackberry (inc SMS) and when you upgrade you can restore either all your data or parts of your data.

FYI I am running a 9700 with OS6 and have been using desktop manager to back up the contents of my Blackberry

...back up your sms contacts through BB desktop manager and you can restore them from there....sms etc are all saved on the devices memory....i havent come across any apps myself that allow you to take them off the device memory to put them onto the sd card...
