SN21G5: Will this work? (worried about heat issues)

Hi all,

I’m looking at building a new shuttle box, and after having continous heat issues with an older G5 box (running Athlon XP, 6600GT), I’m adamant whether the following setup will have the same issues:

- SN21G5 chassis
- Athlon 64 3000+
- Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT TDH

I’m trying to build a box as cheap as possible, primarily for running WoW for the misses.

Any thoughts from SN21G5 would be much appreciated!

i'm running a G4 chassis (the same as G5 but with different front panel) with 3 hdd's (3rd one modded to fit ontop of the ICE), 9800XT and 3400+ in it.

it runs folding@home all day every day fine :)

can't say i've ever had a temp issue in any of my shuttle actually??

I'd think this one your proposing to build will be fine :)

If you decide later that you'd like extra breathing space for your video card, and don't fancy modding the case yourself. Keep a look out for Shuttle's PF16 accessory.

Think its been discontinued in Europe though. But at least you'll be able to transfer it to any replacement G chassis Shuttles.

I got one while they were still avaliable. Not only does it look pimp, it allows for slightly better airflow and makes the cathodes I've got installed look much better.
