I have recently swapped to a SN25P from a midi tower, and has since only had weird issues with my system.

The issues in particular, is with my HDD's.
Currently I have 2 SATA and 1 IDE HDD in there.

My IDE HDD is my media donkey, and as the name suggests, I keep all of my media on there. Recently, when I copy from that HDD to another, I blue screen and when it restarts, the HDD is not recognised anymore by Windows.
Using some program I cannot remember the name of, it shows me that for some reason, just the partition on that drive has been deleted, and the program lets me undelete it restoring my data in effect.
I have scanned said drives before for errors, but nothing ever comes up. I tried to do another scan yesterday, but now I bluescreen just doing that, even though i can use the drive to listen to MP3's, watching movies etc.

Is this the SN25P sata stuff people are referring to on this forum ?

I also found my system to be quite loud, ie: kinda high pitched fan sound, and its not really running hot afaik.

Does anyone have some tips when it comes to doing a fresh install of Windows (like which drivers tp update first etc) thats anything different from a normal pc?

Random question to be added: Anyone have a X1900 running in this system, does the power supply have enough juice?

Thanks in advance

when it blue screens is the hdd light light on solid? I used to get crashing / freezing and it was down to my SATA cables that shuttle provided.
It should have more than enough juice. The PSU is the same as the SN26P which Ive seen power 2x7800GTX / 2gbram / 2 raptors / FX-57.

What Sata cables do you reccommend?
Pardon the question if its a stupid one, but for some reason my mind is striking a blank, but how would you replace them in a SFF, arent they attached to the powersupply ?

by sata cables i mean the data cables, not the power ones. These are just attached to the motherboard via normal plugs (ie easy to remove).
Any sata data cables will be fine.... i brought some cheapo ones from a local shop. Replacing them is a bit of a game, as they are usually cable tied to the frame / threaded inside the drive cage. Took me about an hr to replace them (have to remove gc / hdd cage / hdd's etc).
