Hi guys put together my first Shuttle today very happy with it can't believe how small they are.

Anyway have a couple of problems at the moment that I would appreciate some help with.

Firstly on boot up on the first screen I get a message saying that the computer is in safe mode reffering to the bios I assume and not windows as that is normal.

It says to adjust my CPU frequency which I have tried to do, it defaults to 200mhz and when I try to increase it to 2.4 or higher trying to achieve the 4800 x 2 Athlon stated it lets me I save and exit and once again on the first screen it states the same thing again.

It gives me the option to continue by pressing F1 or press Delete to enter Bios. If I press F1 it goes into windows ok, check my computers properties and the cpu is stated as 2.33 mhz. But am experiencing problems. Obviously something is wrong.

Secondly I cannot find any references to my graphics card in the Bios I was looking to check that it was running at 16x PCi.

Anyway hope you can understand what I am going on about help appreciated otherwise a costly visit to my local PC repair shop may be in order.

200mhz is the standard speed your DDR memory is meant to run at.....Putting it at Anything over 200mhz is overclocking it..

I think you maybe adjusting the wrong thing...

You know what I think you are right sorry for being an idiot.

Any idea about the bios graphic setting though?

If you mean the XPC splash screen on boot up, I think the Tab key removes it for that instance. Don't think there is away to disable it permanently in BIOS though.
