SN45G V2 IDE/Smart detection problems

I had to check my 120gig hard drive today thats in our sn45gv2 htpc. I found the "smart" information doesnt work?

I tried Aida32 and Smartfan and it just doesnt appear
I cant find an option in the bios to enable/disable smart testing so im a bit stumped

does the SN45G even supporty S.M.A.R.T?? its been a while since i owned one

Ok I have found out its supposed to detect smart... so all I can think of is the hard drive doesnt support it or the shuttle isnt quite happy
