SN85G4 cold boot/shutdown issues.

I just got my new shuttle from OCUK.

All built fine, installed XP fine.

Every now and then, from cold boot, it either freezes at the POST screen or boots to windows and resets itself.

On two occaisions now, it has froze while shutting down too.

Any ideas ?

I have reseated the RAM, checked all connections etc.
I have updated to the latest BIOS.

SN85G4 V3
XP3000 64
Radeon 9800 Pro
2x 512MB Crucial PC3200
1x 80GB SATA HD
1x Pioneer DVDRW

Hopefully not another RMA, it costs me a bloody fortune to return it.
 
checked temperatures???.

if you can get into windows, set the error checking to "Dont Restart" so you can see what the blue screen says

OR

check the event log in admin tools in control panel

Whats it all mean ?
 
havnt a clue lol. couldbe hard drive related??? maybe the Sata cable is a bit dodgy as there were dodgy sata cables with the SN25P a while back.

and about the blue screens, windows is automatically set to restart if it detects a problem, what i ment was turn the restarting feature off when it detects a porblem, then it will show a blue screen instead usually displaying some info that you can google to find a solutoin of at least find out why it srestarting/freezing
 
Today I noticed that if I get the black screen before it reboots, then the monitor light flashes. (no signal)

Also, on booting today, I got corruption on the screen.

Could this be a PSU issue not being powerfull enough for the radeon ?

Radeon is fine in other PC.
