I decided to crack out some music tonight only to find my music acompanied by intermittent crackles and pops.
The sound is the onboard jobbie on my Asus S-Presso SFF media pc.
I tried both the optical output into my amp and plugged my headphones into the port on the front- same problem on both.
It does it on both CD's and mp3's, on both winamp and windows media player.
Any ideas guys and gals? My main problem is that I can't replace the soundcard as there is literally no space. If it is a hardware problem is there a device that outputs an optical signal via USB or Firewire? (clutching at straws a bit now I know)
