Sniper Only Games - Servers?

Hi,

The early days of Call of Duty there was many only sniper servers to be found, which I thoroughly enjoyed playing, due to them being much less hectic than the normal FPS formats, the added bonus normally being that teams were never able to cross across to the other side of the map.

Of the current Sniper games out there, is there any that offer this type of gameplay, be it either single player, or multi-player/team environment?

Recently been looking at Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands & Breakpoint, but I'm unable to determine if it offers any pure sniper missions/game play of patiently waiting from afar and picking off objectives, or team games of similar format.

In a nut shell, looking for a FPS, but playable at a much slower pace :D

Be interested and appreciate any feed back, info or recommendations.

I've started playing Wildlands and you could grab a sniper rifle and pick of people from afar. Added bonus of having things like sync shots so you tell a computer-controlled teammate to fire at a target when you shoot. Looks awesome when it all goes to plan.
 
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 1 and 2. There are also Ghost Warrior 2 and 3 as well 2 isnt great but 3 isnt that bad. The newer games are much better though, similar to the Sniper Elite games but more modern.

Bleh, worst kind of FPS player - thank god for NO SNIPER/CAMPER servers back in the day. Edge of map, prone n00b, ultracamp, n00b rifle.

One guy in our group played camper.....but he only had one hand........................what you doin' with your other hand?

You could try Insurgency Sandstorm, though Sniper loadouts don't display freindly tags, so you need to look at who you are shooting at by clothing. Low TTK one shot kills, heads & body parts come off. SNiper maps (more open space) = Outskirts and Crossing.

I can't remember exactly but I seem to remember Wildlands having a few missions that were sniper-focused - to be fair though, just about every mission can be done slowly/stealthily if you want to!

Fantastic game IMO - one of the very few I played through and completed 100%!

I think I'll check out Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands as these are both currently on offer on Steam.

Just had a look at Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, would someone care to explain to me the difference between Gold & Ultimate?
