SnM

it seems to stop itself when i start it and give a warning about voltages or temps even tho it hasnt been on for a second and all is well

ok,i switched the monitorin gto speedfan so i get no errors and it seems to be doing the small test fine altho im a little worried it may overheat my weaking 6600turboforce as its got the stock heatpipe silent cooler, any programs that can be suggested for monitoring GPU temps ? also RAM temps?

No programs to monitor RAM temps, using your fingers is the best bet. If you get burnt then mount a fan over the top of the RAM. GPU temps on your card should be visible from the Nvidia control panel using the coolbits registry hack or by using a 3rd party tweaking program like RivaTuner.

King.

thanks king, forgot about coolbits and as for sticking my finger on the ram, i cant be assed to take the side of my case of as its a beyatch to get back on but its doing 201 "2.75v so i think it'll be fine.

i threw snm outta the window and have just been using prime for the past 12 hours without problem, thanks anyway tho

SnM > Prime

Have had many rigs that passed prime for 10+ Hours (overnight) and within 40-50 mins in snm they have failed!!
It's obvious snm is doing a better job at testing stability than prime as it gets the CPU a good 4-5C's hotter than prime does.

i just cant be bothered with snm as its gives errors in seconds of volts and temps hitting 32 and crap and if i stop using snm's monitor it'll run and not give me any warning which is fine but then i worry it may blow something up

installed coolbits and rivatuner but nowt, do i need to mod my cards bios to enable temp monitoring? cus i just found an artical elsewhere that tells me how

same here, had many systems that were prime stable for 24 hours+ and crashed in snm in under 20 mins.

prime = useless, as a stability tester.
