I expect this is straightforward but...

I have a Mac Mini which I use as a HTPC, I recently upgraded it to Lion and since then the wireless/remote has been acting a bit odd.

Before I never switched the Mac off, it just went to sleep and I woke it up with the little remote thing. Once awake I used mobile mouse on my iphone to browse through my films etc.

Ever since the upgrade its been 50/50 as to whether the remote will wake it up, especially if it's been switched on and then paused and then gone to sleep and often when it wakes up it doesn't connect to the wireless network so I can use the mouse.

Are there any settings that relate to the remote? Its frustrating, I did the update because its cheap and there's no difference to me other than this frustrating nonsense!

I still can't find anything that would fix this.. maybe my older mini just isn't up to it? It just seems to be exhibiting some odd behaviour.

There's an external HDD attached and if I disconnect it when the mac is in standby it drops the wifi signal, it doesn't turn the wifi off, i just need to click on the logo and select my network but when you're using an iphone as a mouse over wifi thats a PITA.

Sometimes the remote won't wake it up either but it works fine once you've clicked a physically connected mouse, that never used to happen before the "upgrade" either.

Also when I browse through my media collection then get to the file i want I right click on the virtual mouse and select open with - vlc because I find quicktime too quiet. Most of the time this is fine but then occasionally it loses the vlc option and just says app store or other then I have to manually select vlc. All very odd and frustrating.

I'm hoping a rollback will sort it, alternatively it'll be getting sold and swapped for a windows machine which would be a real shame but I can't see how/why this would be happening.
