I think even for me i be struggling to find appeal for this movie. Also i dont think i could pay my friends to go to see it. lol

Media seems to be realising at last that it has backed a loser - could you ever have thought The Gaurdian's review would include this phrase prominently displayed? - "With tiresome pseudo-progressive additions"

If anything it shows how genuine they are, they thought they were appealing to a larger user base until the hits and money started to dry up.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's some massive market for whatever the opposite is, but the reality is the vast majority of people are quite middling in their views and find the extremes weird. People can call out Elon Musk as much as they want, but I do find it interesting that since his taking over Twitter a lot of the more prominent online narratives regarding certain topics from specific and very vocal people has swiftly dried up. He's not banning them from the platform either, they tried making their own new thing (Bluesomethingorother?) to harp on and cancel the undesirables.

Still a bit afraid to go in a male and come out the other side as an empowered woman.

Seen a video the other day with Tarantino speaking about how the “Movies” is a working man medium and was a cheaper version of the opera and broadway etc.
Through various means they are getting priced out of it.
Can Hollywood really afford to isolate half/majority of their audience anymore? You got a give them a reason to pay for tickets to come see your movie.
If they keep going like they have been since 2016 then it’s game over. Same as the games industry just they are a lot slower reacting because of development time lines.

It just sounds like in an effort to appeal to everyone and not offend anyone and 'modernize' the story they have appealed to no one.
The box office drop-off will be interesting to see in the next 7 days. As passing family trade is still possible to help make this release a little less financially painful, but i would still expect a stonking loss.
The Disney Earnings call on the 5th May will be interesting

Saw this in IMAX last night.....I am a sucker for a musical and thought it was ok to pretty good.
6.5/10.
Despite all of the drama with the dwarfs, the final option with the CGI was tremendous, the CGI was very very good.
100% not worth the hate it is receiving.

People change their core views generally over a long time. Takes generations sometimes. Listening to the loudest people in any argument is usually a recipe for disaster and boy do some groups shout pretty loud. Lessons are often quickly learned. They are less quickly learned when the people involved in the learning genuinely believe in the ******** they backed/pushed and are incapable of seeing reality. These are the sort of people that for years have stolen a living from blaming everyone else when their output flops. Its incels, is misogynists, its the right wing, its nerds, its basically everyone else but the people actually make the crap media.
There are loads of examples of films and tv that deal with exactly the same issues that these people ham-fistedly butcher. The difference is that they are good at their craft and their inclusion is incidental or well handled.
