Vandalism - Willful or malicious destruction of public or private property
so what was destroyed or damaged by these snowballs ?
A couple of snowballs at a house/windows are fine...if they're only lightly packed snowballs.
When the snow fell earlier this month, we had the wonderful experience of being kept awake for over 2 hours (with work the next morning), while some chavs bombarded almost every window in the house with exceptionally tightly packed balls - they were literally hitting the front door hard enough to make it rattle.
The dog was driven to the brink of sanity. When they were asked to stop, they pelted the wife and covered the hallway in snow from throwing balls through the open door. They then pelted her pensioner father while hurling racist abuse, tipped the bins over in the driveway and kicked the wing mirror off the car before waltzing off.
Boys, eh.

Did you call the police? Unlike the OP, that does actually sound pretty bad!
I suppose, but it could still be defacing property? I ended up cleaning a fair bit of snow off the windows - they threw quite a bit.
Personally I think it's bloody irritating, little scrotes. Damage or not, it's still not on in my opinion.

Some guys were throwing snowballs at passer bys on the way to uni.
They were behind a high wall (7ft) so must have been standing on something. The path next to the wall was sheet ice so very slippery but they were still throwing snowballs and knocked two girls over and laughed.
I went to help them up and these ***** were still throwing snowballs, at me this time.
I told them to **** off and was half tempted to throw a brick that was on the floor at them.

Yep, police were called repeatedly and refused to come out.
"Call back if they damage anything."
people today make me laugh, its snowing people are having fun get over it!
Yes, you could say that. Of course snow is fun. But I don't think that it's on when you have fun by throwing snowballs at other, or in Pestilence's case, where he has actually experienced some horrific and disgusting behaviour.
But a bit of snow at your window?
Are you going to call nature a vandal next for covering your roof with it?
