Consideration of others' feelings seems to be in short supply these days. Throwing a snowball at your mate who may be expecting it is very different from a bunch of you throwing snowballs at a stranger. One is "fun", the other is potentially frightening and distressing.

Threw some snowballs at a taxi on the walk home after a drink, very snowy so he couldn't drive fast. He opened his window, gave us a few obscenities so pelted his car with a few more. He must have been annoyed and tried to speed away but because of the snow just ended up spinning 90 degrees facing across the road. Cue a barrage of abuse off him and an avalanche of snowballs off us childish but oh so funny!
