hey,

As a treat to myself for my birthday, I thought i'd take a trip up to the Snowdome for the day.

Is it any good? I can snowboard already, so lessons isn't a problem. Is it expensive? And is the equipment any good?

Last of all, has it got a website?

cheers, Ben :)

IMHO it's better than Tamworth as it doesn't have that funny kind of dog leg. You can toboggan there apart from the usual stuff and the restaurants are really good - I can personallyrecommend the spanish one. I am not sure, but I think you have to show some sort of proficiency to be able to 'free' ski etc. Anyway, booking tends to get done quite well in advance, so book before you go. Oh yes, check out the free fall gizmo behind it too.

We go at least once a week. I board and my mrs skis.

To be honest if your advanced, it gets a little boring after a while.

Fun every now and again though :)

Does get very busy at weekends.

I haven't boarded for a little while, and my girlfriend hasn't skied for a while either. Are we likely to face any problems 'free' skiing/boarding? ie. would we be ok to just use a small section to find our feet again?

its absoloutely fantabuslous! i go 2 or 3 times a week usualy 2 hours each time , im not sure how much it costs as my mate gets in free as he works there but its very good fun, im not sure if all the slopes are open atm as one is specially for tabogening (if thats how you spell it) but it could be the time i go every week lol

great stuff have a good birthday mate

As long as you can both reasonably link turns you'll be fine.

Absolute beginners arent allowed on the slope, although you do still get a few which is quite annoying. They tend to be chucked off quick quickly though.

They do do lessons there quite cheap if you need them...

Went the other week on a Friday and it was great. We had a corporate thingie there with tobogganing and skiing. But judging by the queues that were building around 5pm I'd hate to see what it's like on a weekend.

Friday night is snowboarding only by the way.
