Only the last 2 shots look static, the flying dirt in the others give a sense of speed.

1,3 and 5 are great shots, I love the unique angle to what you'd usually see in motor shots in 3, very good photos

great image quality - can you explain exactly how you shrunk the images and retained such quality? i am struggling to do this with mine. where they shot in RAW?

Not shot in RAW, these were medium or large JPEG. Resizing was simply a case of setting horizontal size to 700 pixels so nothing fancy.

Best bet is to drop the shutter speed a wee bit and try to pan the cars a bit. There is a much higher margin for error so a lot of shots wont work but a well panned shot with the car in focus looks superb.
