Snow's out - M3 pics

Don't get me wrong, the M3 is a great car and on my "to own" list,I just hope the OP has not landed on one of the many with "Corrected Mileage" - if that steering wheel has done just over 50k, I'm a Bus Driver.

It has full bmwsh from new, & the garage it that serviced it it's entire life is literally down road from me. The drivers side bolster is a bit rough but apart from that it's great inside, not immaculate but hardly battered lol.

In a perfect world i would have got carbon interior, 19's etc but priority was manual, low mileage, warranty and had to feel 'right'.

Im not talking about the headlights. its the front indicators that changed. On the prefacelift e46's the front indicators were seperate from the main headlights but on the facelift cars it was a whole unit

I know exactly what changed - it has new headlights. Whether they are now seperate or not is irrelevent - all parts of the light unit are new, as are the wings etc to support the new design.

Plus its all irrelevent as you are talking about a Saloon in a thread about an M3 Coupe.

...and to all those with side bolsters DON'T sit on them getting in, practice getting over them and dropping your backside onto the seat, it makes them last MUCH longer.
Indeed. I feel like a saddo asking passengers to get in like that, but I'd like to keep my bolsters in good condition :o

I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

You said it had to feel "right", ok, perhaps its the picture, but that in no way looks "right" - its nothing like a 51k mile interior.

Have you checked its MOT history on the VOSA website? that could be interesting....

I probably come across as somebody just having a go, fair enough I guess, but if you want to post your new car on the web, don't be surprised at some of the reaction to it.

It looks great outside btw. ;)

VOSA wouldn't be of any help as he's in the ROI ;)
Yes, the bolster looks terribly worn, but then if the mileage is honest and it's been a daily drive then I'm not surprised.
Lots of getting in and out on short trips shags the bolsters comprehensively if you're not careful.
If Paddy had lots of pies then I can't see it being dodgy.

Ahh! good point.... :o:D

I can see past the bolster - they do get a hammering - I'm just sat here posting on my laptop, with it perched on an equally shiny steering wheel in this 07 plate moon mileage truck I'm in...

As I said, it could be the picture and I do hope I'm wrong...

The interior seems to not match the exterior or miles, from that picture.

I'm just a green eyed monster - I love the car.

Needs 19's

Last pic was taken yesterday, I've since spent 15 euros jetwashing it with piping hot water to get the salt off :p

I love Carbon Black M3s - hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Mine has been great in the 18 months that I have owned it. My neighbour has had e46 M3s with both 18 and 19" wheels and swears by the 18s for handling and ride, so if you like the look of them you're onto a winner.

Good that yours is standard - mine is now stock other than painted wheels (I couldn't stomach forking out for another refurb on the original finish) and an AC Schnitzer exhaust which was supplied/fitted by BMW.

Have fun :D
