snr check

Hi,
Ive been asked by a friend to take a gander @ his router settings as it keeps giving him a new IP every few hours. So had a look and all his settings seemed fine,
Could someone please checkout these stats;
Bandwidth = 448 / 7,616
Output power = 11.5 / 19.5
Line att = 11.5 / 17.0
Snr = 23.0 / 18.5

He's currently on BT upto 8meg, and using the BT homehub
could his problem be cause by the att + snr ??

Those stats look very good as far as i can tell.

His stats are fine. His SNR is quite high for his attenuation actually, which is good.

So what could be causing the reboots/new ip's every few hours ??
Could it be a wrong setting in his homehub/router ??
As far as i can gather he's only had to enter his username/password into the homehub with no extra/optimal settings
Ive never used BT's homehub so im a bit lost as to what could be causing the problems.

If someone with a homehub could help with settings i'd be greatfull

good stats looks like a router problem to me.

he would get 16-20mb on ADSL2+ with a little tweaking depending on router

Those line stats are very good mate, he should be able to get 18Mb+ on ADSL2+ lines.

When you say he gets a new IP every few hours is this the wan or lan side. Wan side your signal would have no effect on your ISP's DHCP.

tbh, them bt home hubs are rubbish!

my friend has one with even better stats then that

his locks up reboots etc etc
