So 3d game play question

Guys i have a 3d tv hdmi1.4 and a set of active 3d glasses and a 670 gpu,

When i try and play games in 3d u can only get a low res with good refresh rate,

when you try and play at 1920-1080 it auto puts it to 24hz which if i am wrong is no good for games ?

what i want is to play 1080p 3d games at full res as my machine cna easy handle that

well that's a shame really, but i guess i will have to stick to 720p for now.
any one know if the full 1080p 3d thing is on it way out to us or?

yea with the Dual Link DVI connection,
How come you cant do it over hdmi1.4 as that manages 3d films ect ok

yea i know this, just seems strange that a full digital connection source like hdmi can not support that

so would you say that dvi is better for pc's than hdmi even if you do use the pc for films as well as hd gaming
