so after 5 hours....

I've been attempting to build my new rig now for 5 hours and got as far as putting the motherboard in with the CPU cooler + fan and the PSU fitted in and connected to the mobo...

I'm just so lost trying to figure out which wires go where and how to connect the HDD + DVD rom etc, its my first time like so yeh

...

Any useful tips etc would be greatful?

Assuming the HDD is SATA and the DVD is IDE, read the manual for where these sockets are and plud the cables in.

You have already done the hard part :cool:

I think i've found my problem

I didnt get them with my HDD or anythin atall, is this right? was I meant to order thme speratley?

Nvm sorry, I think I find those cables but now I dont know where to put the SATA cable into the mobo >.<...

SATA on the motherboard is generally down in the bottom right hand corner, near the IDE and the headders for reset/power switches etc.
