Am I the only one who thinks thats the games with teams such as Iran, Angola etc are NOT going to be rubbish? On these forums I have read posts by people who say that these sort of game sare going to be a crap fest or somthing else along those lines. I can honestly say I was engrossed in the Mexico and Iran game even though some people say it would be a rubbish game etc.. It was fast paced and there was a lot of good quality football on show..

You have to remember. The rubbish teams of 10-15 years ago are now 100% better. No longer are the African teams the underdogs, they are up there with the likes of Portugal, Holland etc.

The game between Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago was imo the best of the tournement do far.

I am totaly looking forward to the Australia and Japan game this afternoon. Its going to be a cracker..

I feel as though this World Cup is going to be the best so far. Even if England come hom early.
Just thought I would mention my feelings on the matter..

How good were Ivory Coast!! Such a shame they didnt pull off a draw and they were lumped into such a strong group!!
Pretty impressed with Angola last night (minus the first 15mins!)

The only trouble with the lesser known teams is not knowing the squad - I mean at least every team has one or two major players but the rest of the team is sometimes

But brilliant games so far!!

I am by no means a great football fan but I do like to watch the big games. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed every game I have watched.

ive watched every match so far and all the games have eclipsed the england one for enjoyment, iran v mexico was a good game to watch, as both teams were more aggresive than i anticipated

people just see small nations and go PFTT not watching that

Tbh I thought that, Poland v Ecuador, Mexico v Iran :o Wasnt fussed about them, but saw highlights.

Both good games, Also under-estimated Ivory Coast, Trinidad and Tobago & Angola.

I've seen 5 games so far and the only teams i've not been impressed by were England and Poland. The Ivory Coast were great to watch and i really do think they'll turn Holland and S & M over. Angola looked shocking for 10 minutes and then they got to grips with the match and gave Portugal a hard time. Gone are the days of 4-0 and over thumpings, the quailty of the lesser teams has dramaticaly improved. Their fitness is better and their teamwork is also much better, the skill / flair was generally always there but it is controlled now. I can see an African nation reaching the semis in the next 2 or 3 world cups.

That's slightly different as they have a lot of world class players (toure(x2 :p), eboue, drogba etc).

Drogba impresses me so much more in the ivory coast games, that strength he showed was impressive to say the least in the box. Although the swan dive is a shame. If he could cut that out of his game, I'd like him a lot more.

Well I've been "bigging up" the Ivory Coast to my mates since the ACN and they didn't dissapoint.

Absolutey cracking team to watch all throughout the ACN and they certainley didn't embarrass themselves against the Argies.

Can't wait to see how they do against Holland, I really wanna see them go through.

We are lucky this world cup in that there have not been a a lot of bad matches, before teams like iran, angola, japan etc etc would absolutely stink the place out when they played, BUT you would get a couple fo games, where, just for 90 minutes one of these teams would suddenly pull a performance out of somewhere and you would get a mexico germany 98, a cameroon england 90, this year however EVERYBODY is pulling performances out of the hat, so far , i cant see T&T doing it again agaisnt england, or Iran looking half as good when they next play, or angola for that matter.

Apart from ourselves and the USA, I would say that I haven't seen a bad performance in this world cup yet.

For example, Ghana, who incidently just lost 2-0 to Italy, play amazingly fluent and flowing football. I think attractive, technically proficient play has been the hallmark of this tournament so far. Here's hoping it persists (and England recovers from their laughable performance).

I've missed my first game today, hopefully catch tomorrow’s midday game on the BBC stream. Have to say all the games so far have been outstanding bar England's, all the big teams pulling through OK. :)
