Well GTX 480s are out, now do I get 1 or go with 2 HD5870s??

Its the heat thats bothering me with the 480, the Zotac ones with the 5 year warranty look good, 5 years!!

But I doubt it will last 6 months in the summer!!

You get two 5850's, clock them to 5870 standards and Xfire them. You will not need anymore performance than the rest of the year and into 2011. That's all really.

Metro 2033 just uses DX11, or does it use Physx as well.

Ati will look the same as Nvidia in Metro 2033?

to play Metro with any setup requires lots to be turned down/off if you like good frame rates - the game lasts less than 10 hours as well.....pathetic..... madness for anyone to be basing an upgrade around it really

Why would anyone want to trade off a pair of 295s fr a single 480 when the 480 Is around the same speed as a a 295?? Flog them and buy a 5970 or a pair of 5850/5870s

There sold, I think im going to go back to ATI, Nvidia is faster yes, but HOT.

They say there cards can handle it,maybe but what about the rest of my system!

I`m locked at 60fps anyway so 2 5870s should do!

Anyone know when a new ATI card is due? before I get 2 5870s

Even better, get a 5970, clock it to 5870 standard, and you have the equivalent of crossfired 5870s with less money, heat and power consumption

A no brainer....if you have a crossfire motherboard.....

Otherwise you may aswell get fastest the single GPU solution.

Depends on whether it is a new system or an upgrade tbh.
