Got the VXR booked into Thorney tomorrow for a Stage 2 along with a Miltek Race, uprated plugs and air filter. Should be good for around 285-290bhp. :D Just thought I'd share. I'll have the power graphs up tomorrow if anybodys intrested. Hopefully the torque steer won't be too bad. ;):p

I'll most likley go to Stage 3 after christmas along with an LSD, AP 4 pots and RARB. Should be quite the car then. The LSD and RARB are known to totally transform the cars handling.

Well its all done now, it made 285BHP and 320lb/ft of torque. Shame it was raining though as the traction control just kept kicking in a soon as it boosts. I can already tell its pulling so much harder and the noise is epic in tunnels. I'll get the graphs and a video up tomorrow.

Very roughly off the top of my head,

3" Miltek Race exhaust was £1100, stage 2 remap was £500, plugs and air filter were about £100 and the service was £150. It'd probably make around 275-280 without the plugs and air filter and its also not possible for a stage 2 without and exhaust.

Its the full kit so yes. 3" may be over kill but IMO it sounded the best out of the ones on offer, plus it helps if I want to progress to higher stages.

Maybe so but the car is as smooth as silk and pulls a lot harder. I doubt Courtenays would be any better than what I have know.

Awwww, took the car out tonight and bam, limp home mode and also the ECU light. Seems its the boost senser. A call to TMS tomorrow is in order.

Well a quick call to TMS and said just drop it tomorrow. Hopefully the sensor threw a fit and nothings actually wrong as the light has gone out now.

would like to say im suprised

but i'm not.

Hope you manage to find a satisfactory conclusion to it :)

Well 5 mins later after arriving at TMS they decide its the boost sensor having a fit so they replace that in 10 mintues and I'm off to work. Brilliant service.

As for the above comment, it wasn't £2000 more like £1700 as the rest was a service and believe me its not just marginally faster.

Yes it's an Astra VXR, its a 2007 and purchased last october for £11k. I've spent £1700 in total, and the noise and power increase have been worth every penny.
