So found this while re-sitting my CPU cooler..

Have been wanting to Oc my q6600 for a while, reading all I can from people on here... Got advised to apply new paste and re-sit the heat sink, as its the same stuff since I got it from my mate who had the PC built years back...

SOOO GLAD I DID!

Couldn't believe it lol...

So my idle temp has went from 33C down to 25/26C

Gaming temps! 55-70 Depending on the game, WoW/GW2/BF3

down to a love 33-35C....

So that sticker has been on for YEARS lol..

When checking Temps with Prime95 it was up near 80C before I stopped it

I've done this a couple of times in my haste to install coolers! But with me, temps go high immediately and my motherboard warns me as soon as it's switched on.
