The graphics are the same except a tiny bit less jaggy, what have they upgraded exactly as I am struggling to see why I have paid £385 for this...

I may just send it back to the superstore.

I play on my PC around 95% of the time, I just wanted a ps4 for the exclusives I also have a Wii U and the old gen consoles.

It just seems like a £50 upgrade and a massive downgrade from my PC.

I don't understand all the hatred tbh. It isn't much of an upgrade, certainly not a £350 worth, I am very disappointed with it. Its like a low/med PC.

How can 1024x768 be HD, you ask. Many dozens of people have asked that over and over here in the forum. The answer is, the Consumer Electronics Association has decided that any display with at least 720 lines can be called an HDTV and have the logo. There is some basis in fact for this because the human eye is more sensitive to vertical resolution than to horizontal resolution. This has been taken advantage of for years in NTSC because the horizontal resolution of NTSC is really poor. It is also taken advantage of in so-called HD-lite where the video is resampled to 1440x1080 on things like satellite, or maybe even shot with a 1440x1080 camera instead of the 1920x1080 camera you thought the network was using, and you probably didn't even notice.

It is a HD resolution, bear in mind my TV is now like 7 or even 8 years old.

I have made a horrendous error, I didn't have my TV set to "game mode" I had it set to cinema with settings for films I setup years ago with a calibration disk. Anyway I flicked it over to game mode and the difference is night and day.

I'm still going to get a 1080p set in April but this is 10x better now.
