So got all my new hardware...

The other day my CPU died on me and I ordered the bundle in this thread suggested by Stulid: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=27911417#post27911417

and an EVGA 970 ACX SC.

Put everything together but the system won't boot. It attempts to boot up (doesn't even reach bios/debug stage) then it just turns off again.

I'm unsure as to what could be causing this and any help is greatly appreciated!

PSU: Corsair AX750 Gold
SSD: Samsung Evo 250GB

I do to my knowledge have it plugged in. It was the first derp test I did. Both it and the 24pin seem solidly in.

any sign of life? anything spins, flashes, moves, makes sound?

is additional CPU connector connected to mobo? switch button wired to mobo?

did you do PSU test?

did you try to boot with iGPU only? only 1 stick of RAM?

Fans spin up, Motherboard LEDs light up. Pump starts up. Psu seems fine. Tried starting it on the iGPU + 1 stick same thing happened.

No change. Removed PSU cables to be extra cautious and not have any possible flow of current. :/

It's not possible that the BIOS isn't completely up to date is it?

BBios LED stays on when it attempts to start up. Before it turns off to reboot again the Mbios LED flicks on briefly. This to me seems strange?

Try re-building it out of the case, re-seat the CPU also.

Figured out the power issue... Turned out the 8pin wasn't connected to the psu after all... However now theres no output from either igpu or the 970.

The GFX card needs both power connectors in it, check them.

Just finishing my rebuild. Will double check that they are both connected on each end this time.

Today... I hang my head in shame... My PSU is apparently in troll mode... When I plugged the 8pin in the 24 pin must've come out on the psu end. I will now enjoy some overclocking some ice cream... Just wish I had some alcohol.. -.-
