OK,
I recently had the need to use a floppy disc (you know those small square flat things
) and found that what I was trying to put onto the floppy was just a tiny bit to large for a standard size floppy.
Not wanting to use a CD in played about with the contents required for it to only remain fractionally to large. I then noticed that I have some floppy’s that have 2.0MB written on them which would have been ample capacity.
So I tried to put my files on only to find that it’s still too small. Check the size and low and behold its showing normal size
. So, i think maybe i need to format it, trying that I notice that there is only 1 option in the format capacity box of 1.44MB, standard size.
So simple question really of how do you actually have a floppy that is 2MB capacity?
This is only for future reference and the fact it has been bugging me now for a couple of days
and no-one seems to know so I thought I would bring it to you knowledgeable people to explain it to me.
Help please, my brain hurts
