So I bought a Bonsai Tree

Ok I must add this!! I thought f- it, it's dead and planted it outside in a bucket, oddly it's started growing again so I might trim it and see if I can reivive it and get it back in its old pot.

Someone gave my wife a bonsai for a present and she gave it to me. Was out of Tesco and I have no clue what type it is. It's a also a bit shapeless and doesn't really have the classic shapes I associate with them.

The shape are pulled from wires, thus fake.

Show us photos of it and can be identified by the leaves.

There you go, hopefully it's something you recognise. Just have it on the kitchen window cill along with a few other plants.

Looks like it's got plenty of leaves... at the moment anyway! ;)

I am just trying to work out what those green 'lines' down the trunk are... or is it just a trick of the light?

Had exactly the same tree! Died within 2 weeks unfortunately :(

Well the date on the picture is 30th June so that's 2 weeks ago and it's still doing good. Not sure what the green lines are on the trunk but just had a look and don't see any.
I have it sitting in an empty plastic takeaway carton and water it that way and on nice sunny days like today I set outside to get plenty of light. So far so good anyhow.
