the title is a bit misleading.

I knew I was getting the 6700k which had been attempted to be delidded.

Guy said it had been delidded with a razor and it worked he sealed with superglue and then it stopped working.

Took it apart started cleaning it up and realised something obvious.

Sad face indeed.

They did, however the real issue is the cracked die sadly. The whole things a mess, the glue I could deal with the crack I can’t haha

It’s an expensive lesson I guess

not gonna work, even if no crack something is wrong there, looks like the bottom left corner has been sliced into with a razor blade and shows copper, traces probably been cut.

Absolutely cracked, with better lighting you can see a fork coming off that crack as well.

It’s quite the mess, I’ll see if I can get. A better picture today.

I’ll clean it up the best I can and test it but I get the feeling this one is getting drilled and put on my keys haha

thats a baby crack look at the 4770k i got of ebay....

This was with a delid tool. just because there is a tool doesn't mean you cant brake it
seller said it was working and didn't want to refund. this is it as soon as i opened the box
