From a kid who was around 14 who came into a bar...

it was a supermarket one, and the supermarket is opposite the bar. No one else seemed keen so i bought it while tipsy for 3 quid. Turns out its 30 quid in the supermarket and it works perfect with all the leads etc included. No box, just a plastic bag.

Ok.. id be a fool if i thought it wasnt stolen, but am i a fool for buying it for £3 before some other dude does?

Moral Dilemma !

You were drunk it doesnt matter since it was only £3....are you sure you bought it for £3 and not £30lol

I dont think i have any morals, i really wouldnt care less if it was stolen or not if it was me tbh.

Well if it is stolen, you've just sucessfully taught another young kid that crime does pay. Even if its a pitance.

And if its not stolen, you've got yourself a bargain.

A 14 year old came into a bar trying to sell an MP3 for £3

Stolen and you have just bought him a wrap of crack.

Shame on you.

But looking on the bright side, he has a fully working mp3 player for £3! \o/ :D ;)

I often buy things from blokes in pubs, lots of bargains to be had tbh. No questions asked and I couldn't care less anyway. Got a 2006 A-Z map other week for a quid.

yeah it defo cost 3 quid. infact it was £3.10 cos it was the change i had from a beer out of a fiver :D

its only a 256mb number but it does the trick :D charges usb and it small and trendy :). when i gave him it he said

"i only need the money for a charger for my ipod" lol. which was obviously pinched too  :(

As you've said, you'd be a fool if you thought it wasn't stolen.

So you've accepted stolen goods.

However, much worse imo is you seem to have no morals!

Much worse than that is you've encouraged the kid to steal again as now he feels he can sell stuff on easily.

Depends where it was stolen from really, I wouldn't care if someone sneaked it out of a big shopping centre, but I wouldn't buy it if someone had been mugged for it.

Okay lets say it's stolen. How do we know it is actually stolen. Don't get me wrong, it's a strong likelihood. But sod it, we don't know. All we know is some kid, came into the bar, sold him a product. No harm there I think (apart from the kid coming into the bar which I think is illegal...in this country...)

You probably need it to find your way home.

The odds are that its stolen. Obviously we don't know for sure, but pretty sure it is.

You might think no harm has been done, but I think there is!

TBH, the £3.10 would have been spent on another drink!!

Don't get me wrong, I understand exactly where you're coming from.
Infact, fiver says it was stolen. But if I was faced with that scenario i'd try to barter with the kid down to £2.50. I guess that's how I am.
Different people have differnt prefrences. (But before I hand the cash over i'll want to see it works first...yes I am stingy :D)
