From an online retailer with the name of a popular rainforest from a registered seller, and it's not quite what I expected.

I wanted an Angry Bird's iPhone 4 case to feed the cravings of the addiction for the game that I have when I'm on the tube in the morning, and found one for a measly £7.45 as oppose to about £15! "Bargain!" I hear you say.

Not so.

I received said item today at this is what it looks like:

At first site, nothing looks too bad. The usual paraphernalia you expect to receive with such an item. Except, if you look closer at the packaging the plastic film on it is torn of on the left hand side and it generally looks like it's been through the wars. As if it's been kicked around a football pitch a bit, the edges all knackered etc.

The actual image of the product in the packaging from online retailer is this:

Not quite the same as what I got. That looks neater, prettier and you'd generally expect the packaging to be flawless if it just came of the shelf in a warehouse of the like.

Next is the actual case itself:

That's how it looks when I photographed it, this is how it looks on the website:

At first glance you may say it's the same item. Look closer. You may notice that the eyes on the birds face are different. Why are the eyes on the one I bought looking down to the right.

Secondly you may also notice that the text is wonky in the white space at the bottom and neither does the graphics of the text match up to those from the picture from the online retailer.

And thirdly, to be truly looking close, the little tuft of "feathers" at the top by the camera hole are considerably close on the version I was sold to those of which are on the picture from the official photograph.

Finally, something I can't put across to you unless you actually hold said product, it feels cheap. It feels flimsy and the paint is tacky. This is clearly a fake.

I personally thought this online retailer was beyond permitting fake products to be sold. Unfortunately I was wrong.

If I am allowed to talk about the online retailer and the reseller I will be more than happy to name and shame them to help save all other users the hassle.

I have however contacted them, and I am allowed to return said item. I told them why it was being returned, and some man in the background when told by the lady on the phone that I didn't think it was real said "He doesn't think it's real?" with a puzzled tone. No, no its not real. Don't insult my intelligence.

It was half the price of a real one, they obviously had to hire a slightly different bird as a model for it?
It was only a slightly disappointed not angry bird

How have you not noticed the most obvious one. It says "ANGY BIRDS", not "ANGRY BIRDS"

Made you look twice, right?

Thats quite a fortune you spent on a case that looks perfectly fine from any distance that isnt 0.3cm away. You are right to be livid.

Waaaaaaaaaaaa

Definitely a cheap knock-off. LOL at the wonky text.

Also: LOL @ ANGY BIRDS, hahahaha. I reckon there'll be mucho instant scrolling upwards when people start reading this thread.

Wait, £15 for a ******* phone case? Oh sorry, iPhone case?

Premium prices for premium products, eh? Madness. I picked up a couple of hand made and customised sleeves for my mp3 and phones for a couple of quid.

For £7.45 I wouldn't care.

A) Its most probably going to be facing down or never seen anyway.
B) Why did you buy an iphone if you're going to ruin it with a horrid case like that?

"Picture is for illustrative purposes only. Actual product may vary".

Ginger angry bird! haha
