Yup finally decided to buy one, i had some games to trade in so off i went down to the local hgih st shop where you can trade games...FFS i hate talking in riddles but cant name them due to them being competitors :rolleyes: :p. Anyways had over £100 worth of credit...thats what u get when you buy a lot of games then decide to trade them in lol.

So asked the fella behind the counter, how much they were and if they had any in stock. Off he goes and comes back saying hes a got a used one for £40...so had a look at it but it really wasnt in good condition tbh. So plumped for a brand new one....god damn that box is big lol. All in all cost me £85 but didnt actually pay anything as they took it off the credit.

So got it home and got Forza2 running etc...only one problem...i havent got a table or desk to clamp it onto...but did have it on my lap and it was ok...but the FF was much too strong so made the wheel awkward.

Question is what am i gonna do regarding getting the wheel clamped onto something because at the moment...i havent really got anywhere to clamp it onto...does anyone have any ideas as to what i can do about this??

The wheel is very well made...looks nice and works without a hitch...was quite pleasantly surprised at how well its built...definitely would recommend it to anyone who has a 360 and plays racing games...only make sure u have something to clamp it onto though...playing it on your lap is near impossible unless u turn the FF off...even then its still not very good

Anyway hopefully someone will come up with something useful...just need something or somewhere to clamp my wheel onto...the tables i have at the moment arent good enough...clamp wont fit underneath them...

Tbh mate im too used to the pad myself so finding it a bit tough getting used to the wheel especially the foot pedal bits lol....keep finding myself using the paddles to accelerate and brake :p.

But other than that its a great piece of kit though, very well built and looks the part.

JUMPURS i had a look for those tablemates, they look good so might end up picking up one later this weekend if i can find it..if not then ill order one...but really was looking for something a bit more better ie a fold up car seat sort of thing. Im pretty sure Zheka mentioned something where you could clamp the wheel onto it and then when your done, you just fold it up...it was made out of steel or ally...not sure...unless Zheka pops his head in here and knows what im talking about.

EDIT: Found it from an old thread, its called the VIX..looks quite good actually....

well that's easy, it's a wireless thing, so you just hop in an odd looking way down *** hall to *** bathroom and doo your buisness whilst randomly hitting buttons and twisting the wheel to make it seem as if you're still there :)

Yeah it is, though I wouldn't so much recommend it for Forza2 tbh. However, on DiRT it's an absolutely amazing laugh and I couldn't recommend it enough.

yup, thats what i use, works great for me and it can be put away when not in use.

Hmmm now that looks mighty interesting to be honest. I had a look but was kinda worried that it wouldnt be sturdy enough to cope with the FF of the wheel.

But i take it that its fine to use with the wheel....if its pretty sturdy then ill definitely be having a look at one. The VIX that Zheka mentioned in another thread...looks really good but at the moment space is a premium in my room...even though my room is the largest but its currently being taken up by my massive kingsize bed, my wardrobe on one side of the wall and my computer desk near the window..so really the 360 and LCD tv are at the foot of my bed on a table and to play on the 360, i have to sit at the end of my bed..
 
Looking at Sega Rally revo, Dirt and the fact the forza 2 career is really startin to bore me im quite tempted to get the wheel, could make things a lot more fun!
