So I downloaded COD4 demo last night

and now i'm buying the game.....

IW have got it spot on with immersion. The game sucks you in I played that one demo for a good couple of hours and didn't get bored at all. Can't wait for it to arrive. Agony was seeing an english version in my local belgian supermarket today (usually I order post because they don't stock english versions locally) totally gutted that it will probably take a week to arrive.

Anyway pointless thread but just expressing my sheer anticipation at the game and it's MP possbilities.

Yep its not often I buy a game based just on the demo but COD4 demo was utterly brilliant. Just bought it today and going to install it in a min.

Awesome game both in MP and SP modes. Just wait 'til you get to the 'Death from above' mission.

Anyone know how to get the Fullgame in Windowed mode and not full screen, the usual Alt+Enter doesnt appear to work.

As I've said in many threads, CoD is GOTY. Not only have they made the intelligent decision of upgrading to modern combat since World War ideas have totally run dry (Such as crappy MoH:Airborne), the game runs amazingly well even on my system, and has lots of variety of play.

All I can say is you won't be disapointed.

Yes it's absolutely a great game, hate the fact that the teammates are useless and get in the way all time, but that's the only problem i can find, great story, very fun and fast paced, and great graphics

Brilliant game however flawed by its short campaign, however the hours you spend on the single player will be some of the best you experience.

Played the demo once, got bored and uninstalled it. Seems to much like COD2 with slightly better graphics for me.

I've been hearing so many great things about this, I think I'll have to check out this demo. I used to be in a CoD gaming clan before it folded, so I've got fond memories of the older ones. I didn't think the move to modern war was going to be a good one, but now I'm thinking it might be worth a look.

Must say have to agree with this sentiment - for me the demo was COD2 dressed up in a different scenario. I guess you either like the
'kill enemy - enemy respawns - kill enemy' gameplay or you don't
