I finally cracked open my copy recently and I'm really enjoying it. :) Stuck a lot of time into it over the last week, and It looks like I've still got a fair way to go, so I'm more than getting my moneys worth. :)

OK, it has finally arrived. I've added a load of people from this thread, anyone I haven't added feel free to add me: DreXeLtard.

I have bought Wipeout HD and I'm loving it, such an awesome game. I have LBP and KZ2 on the way too :cool:

Still hate the controllers compared to the 360s though :(
 
Im toying around with getting one but if anything it will be used as a blu ray player rather than a gaming machine...altho if i do pick one up i might get a few games but i just cannot stand the controllers...ive played with a mates ps3 and altho very good...the controllers just made my hands ache..its just not a natural fit for my hands.

Saying that if i am using it blu ray then im probably better off getting a stand alone player for that sort of money.

I bought my PS3 mainly for bluray/media, and to play the exclusives on. Well worth the price even if that's all you do on it imo. :)
 
I too, mainly bought the ps3 for the Blu ray. However i find myself playing Dead space and Resistance 2 (also have kz2 on preorder) fantastic games.
 
I also bought a PS3 this week to go alongisde my Xbox 360. I will mainly use it for Blu Ray and streaming media. Seems quite a cost effective way of Blu Ray while having the advantage of playing games.

I have ordered the Blu Ray remote, GT5p, Killzone 2 and a 320gb HDD :)

Try getting the trigger extenders as they definately make it more comfortable imo ;)
 
Rumoured to be about £50 lower than current iirc. Fiscal year ends March 31st just in case there are some who weren't aware.

Not sure tbh, a few analysts are predicting a hundred dollars but either way I can't see it being more than £50 in the UK, saying that though some people are surmising the EU may not get a price cut yet becuase SCEE have already announced a Killzone 2 pack and priced it already, it's a hard one to call, I think there will be a cut but not until at least March/April.

I used to love the Playstation controllers until i played with the 360 ones, so i feel your pain. However they arent bad to the extent where you find games hard to play or any less enjoyable. However it's definately worth investing in a Dualshock 3 controller. It's got more weight to it and the triggers and analogue sticks are much higher quality.

Failing all that i have heard there is a mod out there to use the 360 controller on PS3, but at the moment it is limited to wired only version i believe.
