I finally sold my Xbox One X and bought a gaming laptop (see sig).

been playing jack Nicolaus Perfect golf (I'm old 44 :D )
some Counter Strike:GO.
and rekindling my youth and playing some Quake Champions which i like.

I was considering assetto corsa OR Project Cars 2.
Can assetto corsa be played with a controller decently or should i try PJC 2 ?

i've seen some vids of assetto corsa and the gameplay looks really good
and can i practice offline ?

PS: can i just plug an Xbox One controller in for driving games ?

thanks.

I downloaded assetto and could not get a controller to work at all so I returned the game. Try Forza 6 apex.

Welcome back to the master race :p !!!

Forza 3 Horizon is a great fun arcade racer, worth playing whereas Forza 7 felt poor. Xbox or PS4, both controllers work fine on the PC.

Any other genre's you used to play ?

So i plugged in my Xbone game pad via the play and charge kit and tried the demo of
Project cars 2 and boom ! i love it..
i know this is the honeymoon period but it feels like it plays better than when i tried on xboxone X.
i know i'm only 1920x1080p via a 15.6" (IPS) laptop screen but its looks incredible with all on ultra settings.
as i am sitting back but closer to the screen i feel more connected to the games i've been playing.
this laptop was (G5) £1,099 but i got the 3 year onsite warranty taking it up to £1,270 for piece of mind.

had a few issues with sound drivers at first but sorted all that.
everything i have chucked at it runs great and no crash's (yet).
also that massive back catalogue on steam.. very happy to be back to the #PC master race :D

PS- PC2 is currently on sale for £18 ;) (steam)

New Forza horizon (4?) is out next month IIRC! Looks ace + it’s in the Uk for a nice change over America
