Hi guys.
I had a leak for my LC loop and sound card took a bullet( I'm in bits, but it was my fault)
I absolutely loved my Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1e hi-fi(great CMSS-3D in games).
My onbord sound card sounds terrible now with my Sennheiser hd 555 so I'm looking for replacement.
My first thought was Asus Xonar STX great reviews but there is a lot negative comments about the drivers and few that headphones sounds bad.Today I found this clip on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8w10-apCsI
So he's saying that stx is not great for gaming ( no CMSS-3D ?) and that it's better for music.
Creative X-Fi Titanium HD would be a better choice? Again a lot of comments about bad driver support.(I'm onWindows 7 64bit)No digital output.
Asus Xonar STX II is out not much reviews out yet, does anyone own the card here?Did they improve this card in gaming department?
Creative ZXR again highest sound card tier realesed this year worth the money?
I own Logitech Z5500 and soon when I will have more place I'll connect them to my pc.
Other cards that I think of are:
Asus Xonar D2,Creative Z and ZX.
Which card would be most suited and best bang for the buck to replace my Audiotrak Prodigy? or just by another 7.1e hi-fi cos I never had a problem with it?
thanks

No many answers guys?Is something wrong with what I wrote?
I've red more about Creative X-Fi Titanium HD and I found out that it hasn't got headphone amplifier, and my old had up to 300 ohm.Now on my onboard sound card I hear a difference in volume level,I need turn up the volume more.
Would be the same with titanium hd?

I just won an auction and bought asus STX for 82+9 postage.I'm happy with the price, now just wait for the card to arrive.
I'm not planing any other upgrades for now,so hd 555 and logitech Z5500.
Games>music=films main uses.
