and I have also just had a look in my BIOS.

I am going to attempt my first ever OC!!!(abit nervous)

The multiplier was set at 9 so i left it at that and found the option to change the FSB.

I was going to change it to 310 at first and then run orthos etc to see if it was stable.

Am i doing this correctly?

we need to know a bit more about your system. CPU, Motherboard, RAM, etc before anyone can help you out.

How do i raise the FSB?

I get the options to the FSb (QDR) Mhz and this is automatically at 800 when i enter the BIOS?

Well i Have figured it out. Got the E6600 running at 2.7 ghz on stock cooler at 49c under load. 1.36 Vcore. Going to order the scythe ninja when i get paid and see if i can push it further.

Got the FSb at 300 and multi at 9.

Cpu is currently idling at 25c.
