So, I just got a PS4... Talk to me

I'm a PC gamer, through and through, had a 360 for donkeys years. Just moved in to a new place and figured I'd get rid of the blu ray player and upgrade to a PS4. Kind of got an okay deal on the bay. £300 for a second hand one, 2 months old with receipt and with Infamous Second Son... Could have got cheaper new but I stupidly didn't think.

Anyway, couple of questions:

1) What's the Blu Ray quality like? Can it output source audio or is it like PS3 and tries to recode into something it wants?
2) Is The Last of Us remastered worth it? I've never played it
3) Can I play on it without internet from the get go. I'll be wiping it to stock... I don't have net until Wednesday next week
4) Any recommended games? Love story and adventure!
 
1) Blu ray quality is spot on, not sure about the source audio output though

4) The Last of Us Remastered/Infamous Second Son/Assassins Creed Black Flag
 
Aces, Infamous Second Son and The Last of Us, both only on PS4, if it's on PC, I'll buy on PC. Already have black flag.

I also like racing games but I'm holing out for Project Cars. Is there anything else on the PS4? I don't mind slightly casual like Forza. I'll be using the controller.

Shooting games... Anything good, Killzone any good?
 
Infamous Second Son and The Last of Us are only on PS4.

Don't bother with Driveclub, its broken atm unfortunately. Project Cars looks promising, The Crew is also out soon, closed beta keys going out today for it.

Battlefield 4/COD:Advanced Warefare....Killzone is also really nice, graphics are unreal.
 
Killzone is a good game not sure why people saying it's awful. Defently get last of us, I also recommend tomb raider, assassin's creed 4, Rayman legends, gta 5 (out in few weeks)

3) yep, but you need ps plus to play online.
4) The Last Of Us, as you mentioned should fit this bill, great game, you could also check out The walking dead game series, although this is more point and click story based, its got a great story but personally both mentioned are zombie type games so I would not want to play both at the same time, start with TLOU.
Trine 2 complete story on PSN is also good, this was free a while back with ps plus.

*Killzone Shadow Fall is all graphics and nothing else personally. I only played the first chapter of story and had had enough of it.

PS3 bitstreams audio as does PS4, which is what you want it to do.

I just looked at a review for Infamous Second Son... My god consoles are looking good these days! And fluid! Think I picked the right console :p

I'll buy The Last of Us tomorrow when the PS4 arrives, and have a gaming session over night.

Sort out a subscription for PlayStation plus, Infamous Second Son will be the free game for members in January & Injustice is the free game for December.
