So I just lost my temper with a game??

As per title.. first time ever to be honest. Story goes is as follows; I bought MX vs ATV : Reflex to pass some time. Quite a good game, nothing too special and single player was a hoot. Was enjoying it until I played online a few times. Got my rear end handed to me big style but managed to get a bit better. Managed a few 2nd places earlier and really got into it. Anyways next map loaded up and I managed to get into the lead and was getting pretty into it (sad eh?) then all of a sudden some (insert the usual) rammed into me and pushed me off the track? Causing me to go into pretty much last. I couldnt get back upto speed and eventually lost my head and threw my controller on the floor.. Looking back its quite stupid.

Anyone else had rage at an online game? Or am I in need of some help? :D
 
I rage quit MW2 on a regular basis due to the BS in it.
I also threw my control pad at the wall whilst playing god of war 3 last weekend. Got annoyed with dying for silly reasons. Or not being able to dodge an attack because my character was in the middle of an animation and I had to wait for it to finish:mad:
 
i used to get rage back when i was a bit younger and in my early teens (12/13). looking back now it was pretty pathetic! i used to bite the controller for some reason, really hard, i almost damaged a couple of teeth at one point. :confused: i do remember one time back when i was playing final fantasy 7, i was stuck on the demon gate for months. that thing literally bought me to tears it was so frustrating.


i tend to take a slightly more relaxed approach to gaming now though. if someone is beating me i just have a laugh and a joke. :p cant be bothered being competetive in games. too stressfull.
 
In shooter games where I've got some really elaborate strategy planned then some utter **** kills me randomly by throwing a grenade in the air half way across the map or something, RAGE.
 
i wouldn't say rage as such, get annoyed at times with MW2 in particular. with people noob-tubing spawn, camping excessively, excessive use of commando 'teleporting' but i wouldn't say i ever get in a rage. probably the biggest problem for online games personally is how 'serious' it all becomes, at the end of the day a game is a game, i try to treat it as such. doesn't stop the experience being ruined by people mind ;)

Your 360 resets itself.

Wyrdos is the best, he screamed and reset his borked 360. Most people have a dodgy 360 heat sink, his resets on decibels!

I rarely rage quit but I have got to the point this week a couple of times when I've lost the will to carry on playing.
 
Only raged once, back in my younger days when i played Counter Strike 24/7. I destroyed my keyboard, buttons went everywhere. I then promptly went into town to buy another as it was beyond repair and i needed to play more CS!

My younger brother used to rage on my PSOne Pro Evo, threw my control pads at walls.
 
my mate he totally losses it he breaks controllers in half,ripped the door of a ps2 console, snaps games in two new that week. hes even got skid marks on the ceiling from swinging his ps2 controller around.

like some one said its only a game :)
 
thats the funniest thing i have seen all day, but then again he is american so its sort of expected! :D been on the recieving end of US rage a couple of times, some kid was SCREAMING at me down the microphone, he friendly fired me and tried to steal my care package, i had tactical insertion right next to it and respawned, shot him in the back of the head point blank with USP, he raged for the whole rest of the game claiming i had did something bad to him...:rolleyes:
