Okay. So you guys are going to enjoy this. I need a bit of help.
I've got an old PC. I bought some compressed gas called "Air Duster" off eBay.
Like the genius I am, I unplug the PC, earth myself and plonk it down onto the kitchen work top. So far, so good.
So I take off the lid and start blasting everything. Boom !!!! Compressed gas galore. The dust is coming off quite nicely.
About five seconds into it. WHOOMPPP. the whole thing goes up big time. Like really quick and makes a WHOOMPPP noise. I'm screaming like a girl and wondering what to do next as the flames are pretty big. I mean this thing is really on fire. All of it.
About six to ten seconds later it just puts itself out. Phew ! I guess it was the gas burning out and non of the components still on fire or even hot.
I thought perhaps it was witchcraft or perhaps I was using the wrong gas but on closer inspection I realised my girlfriend had a scented candle (vanilla if that helps) nearby. Like on the kitchen workshop. Not sure why I didn't notice but potentially the 2 glasses of wine beforehand didn't help. The gas was clearly ignited by the lit candle.
Soooooo question? What next ? Have I broke the PC ? I haven't turned it back on yet. Should I even attempt to turn it back on? Will the hard drive be okay ? It doesn't look burnt ? Was it just the gas on fire ? Surely computers are used to the heat ? Have I actually skilfully overclocked it naturally some how ? How stupid am I on a scale of 0-10?
Also I burnt some of my eyes brows off with the flames so not a great result all in all.
I'm sure we've all been there be before haha
