Got an E6400 and an Asus P5NSLI mobo, along with 1Gb Geil DDR667 RAM
Im more pleased with this upgrade than i was when i got my first AMD64 setup ( A Winnie 3000+ ) because i was pretty dissapointed with the switch from a socket A 3200+ to a Socket 939 3000+
Im certainly more pleased with this as at stock speeds as this CPU at stock is quicker than my old X2 4200+ at 2.6Ghz
The overclock settings in the BIOS are a bit bewildering as im used to AMD so i installed AI booster and overclocked from windows. Got straight up to 300FSB, giving clock speed of 2.4Ghz. Coupled with the OC on my GFX card the benchies are in my sig.
When i rebooted at 2.4Ghz tho the PC didnt post so i had to reset the CMOS, so the CPU is at stock for now.
Im a bit dissapinted that i cant really overclock but im not too fussed, i will most likley get a DS3 or one of the better asus boards when funds permit but next on the list is another gig of RAM
Overall tho, im a happy bunny
