So I want a 360

If I buy second hand, it'll be from a high street store.

In fact, Blockbuster have a 20GB console for £69.99, but I'm a little apprehensive with the whole RROD thing.

They also have a 250gb slim for £149.99

Hardly worth it when you get deals like the one I picked up a couple of weeks ago...

So that's a brand new console, £72.50 worth of games, £35 xbox live and an hdmi cable for £70 more than that second hard one.

Bear in mind, you will have to fork out the £35/year in order to play online and the game will cost £30+... then you're up to the same price as above.

Amazon aren't doing that exact deal anymore - but I believe Sainburys are selling the console by itself for ~£170 new + discounts on games/xbox live when you buy.

I ended up with a 250GB Slim in the end.

Found it for £229 with MW3 and Forza 4.

Doesn't seem like too bad a deal to me - considering they are both games I wanted, it effectively put the console at under £150.

Lol... my post too late :S

Sounds like you ordered from the same place as me with their new deal...

Doesn't look like it.

I walked in to Blockbuster and walked out with all that + BF3 for a month just 5 minutes later :P

I got the 250gb slim in Feburary for £159. At that price, I wouldn't even consider one of the other models. I can't understand the few recent threads where people are about to buy or have just bought a 4gb version and want to spend more money on extra storage from day one.

It depends where you can grab one from.

For me -

Boxed 4gb model - £100
Second Hand 250gb HDD - £30

Don't forget that if you want to play BF3 online you'll need a gold subscription, which can eb picked up for £25-30 online easily enough.

Used doesn't, but I'm guessing you haven't bought a 250GB hard drive in the correct enclosure for £15, have you?
